For all seats in Deemed/Central universities, all seats in ESIC/AFMS institutions, and 15% of the All India Quota (AIQ) seats, the NEET 2022 MBBS/BDS admissions procedure entails many layers of counselling and reservation processes. Through the 542 medical and 313 dental colleges, 91,415 MBBS, 26,949 BDS, 52,720 AYSH, and 603 BVSc &AH seats would be made available.

The Government of India has been attempting to increase the number of colleges, BDS seats, and overall MBBS seats through the NEET examination each year in order to accommodate the rapidly expanding healthcare system of the nation. The goal is to enhance the system by adding more doctors to it. In addition, due to the establishment of the EWS quota for the economically vulnerable segment of society, the government has increased the number of MBBS and BDS seats accessible.
