Determine the forward bias Voltage applied to a silicon diode to produce a forward current of 10 milliampere and reverse situation current I. is equals to 25 × 10^(-7) at room temperature.

Hello Candidate,

The given diode is Silicon Diode , hence n = 2. First, we will check all the given things, and after that we will check the things which we have to find.

Now, Diode Current, Id = 10 mA

Reverse Saturation Current, Is = 25 * 10^(-7) A

Temperature = 300'C

Forward Bias Voltage = Vd

We use the formula, Id = Is . ( e^Vd/nVt - 1 )

So now, Put all the given values in the equation, and hence we have get the Vd.

Vd = approx ( 0.18 V )
