Did 12th result matters in clat?
Yes class 12th marks matter in Clat.
In fact, it is the eligibility criteria that for Clat, the candidate needs to have 45% marks in 10+2 if he/she belongs to general or unreserved category.
Or 40% if he/she belongs to reserved category such as SC or ST.
So as far as the criteria is considered, 10+2 marks matter for Clat.
Hope it answered your query.
Class 12 percentage only matters as the qualifying marks for the CLAT examination and not for any merit list. You need just 45% in case of General category students and 40% for the rest in your Grade 12 board examinations to appear for the CLAT examination.
Yes it does matter. For being eligible to appear for CLAT you need an aggregate of 45% in your 10+2 (40% for SC, ST or physically disabled students). Meeting this criteria isn't really a big deal for most students, so it won't be wrong to say that your 10+2 percentage does not matter. But if you have less than that then i am sorry to say that you are not eligible.
Good luck
