Yes, Maths is a very important subject for SSC CGL. The SSC CGL is divided into two parts one is pre and other is mains.
The pre exam consists of 25 questions of mathematics containing of 50 marks means 1 question is of 2 marks there.
The mains exam consists of 100 question of mathematics which has to be done in 120minutes. Each question is of 2 marks here also.
so Mathematics contain 250 marks weightage in a total of 600 marks in SSC CGL pre and mains examination.
