Hello,
BCA stands for Bachelor of Computer Application whereas B.tech stands for Bachelor of Technology.
A BCA graduate is a software programmer who imparts knowledge about computer applications by working on scripting as well as different programming knowledge. BCA is a 3 years undergraduate course. they have "application" level knowledge.
A B.Tech graduate is a person equipped with knowledge for both hardware as well as software. B.tech is a 4 years program. They have "technical " level knowledge about computers.
B.tech has several branches such as CSE, EEE,ECE, Mechanical, Civil whereas ther can be specializations in BCA.
Hope it helps
The syllabus of BCA and BTech are more or less the same, except that BCA saves one year. The difference in syllabus lies in the first year where BTech teaches common engineering subjects such as electronica, physics, chemistry, maths. etc.
Industry and job placements are almost the same for both degrees. For instance, companies such as Wipro, TCS recruit both BCA and BTech undergraduates.
Hope this helps!
