difference between progeny of asexual and sexual reproduction
Answer (1)
Hii!
In simple words, the basic difference between the progenies of asexual reproduction and the sexual reproduction is in their basic composition. That is, the progenies of asexual reproduction are the exact copies of thier parents and are genetically and morphologically identical.
But, in sexual reproduction the progenies born are the result of syngamy between two different, male and female gamets of the same species or may be different in some cases. This leads to variation. So, the babies born via sexual reproduction are not identical to each other, but a combination of traits from both the parents.
Hope this helps.
Good luck!
