Frog -

a. Diurnal

b. Lives in or near water

c. Teeth are present in upper jaw.

d. Bifid tongue is present.

e. Webs are wel-developed.

f. Body is longer in size.

g. Head is triangular in shape.

h. Parotid glands are absent.

i. Skin is moist, smooth and slimy.

j. It lays eggs in a mass.



Toad -

a. Nocturnal



b. Lives in dark shady corners of gardens, and visits water only during breeding



c. Teeth are absent in both the jaws.

d. Tongue is entire.

e. Webs are rudimentary.

f. Body is shorter in size.

g. Head is semicircular in shape.

h. Parotid glands are present (two in number).

i. Skin is dry, rough and warty.

j. It lays eggs in a line.
