IPS:

- IPS Officers are trained at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) located in Hyderabad, Telangana
- After the allotment for IAS is done other top rank holders are allotted IPS
- Second in Rank after the IAS
- It has less powers than IAS.
