After completion of this course you can go for higher studies such as B.E/B.tech in Chemical Engineering and after that you can go for Master's degree. There are various government sectors and private sectors offering jobs for Chemical Engineering graduate. A Chemical Engineer is essential in food processing companies, beverage companies , petrochemical industry, pharmaceutical industry, Chemical plants etc. Some of the government firms recruiting Chemical Engineers are ONGC, DRDO, IOCL etc. You can get in these public sector companies through GATE. The various job roles are Chemical engineer, safety officer, Plant layout engineer, process control engineer. Initial salary will be 2.5-3 lakhs per annum based on job role, company etc. It may go up to 10 lakhs per annum and with increase in experience salary will increase.
