According to the given table:
Wheat = 680 + 800 + 680 + 720 + 820 = 3700 million tonnes
Rice = 270 + 420 + 350 + 400 + 560 = 2000 million tonnes
Barley = 250 + 440 + 320 + 380 + 410 = 1800 million tonnes
Other cereals = 450 + 300 + 460 + 500 + 690 = 2400 million tonnes
Total productions of food- grains = 3700 + 2000 + 1800 + 2400 = 9900 million tonnes
According to the question,
$x$% of the total production = production of wheat
⇒ $\frac{x}{100}\times 9900 = 3700$
⇒ $x$ = $\frac{3700}{9900}×100$
= 37.4
Hence, the correct answer is 37.4%.
