Correct Answer: 8 × 4 + 6 – 2 ÷ 1 = 6
Solution : Let's check the options –
First option:
7 ÷ 2 – 8 × 4 + 1 = 0
After replacing the digits the equation becomes –
→7 ÷ 8 – 2 × 4 + 1 = 0
= 0.87 – 8 + 1
= 8.6 ≠ 0
Second option:
2 × 4 – 8 + 5 ÷ 1 = 50
After replacing the digits the equation becomes –
→8 × 4 – 2 + 5 ÷ 1 = 50
= 32 – 2 + 5
= 35 ≠ 50
Third option:
8 × 4 + 6 – 2 ÷ 1 = 6
After replacing the digits the equation becomes –
→2 × 4 + 6 – 8 ÷ 1
= 8 + 6 – 8
= 6
Fourth option:
8 × 4 – 9 ÷ 3 + 2 = 35
After replacing the digits the equation becomes –
→2 × 4 – 9 ÷ 3 + 8
= 2 × 4 – 3 + 8
= 8 – 3 + 8
= 13 ≠ 35
So, only in the third option L.H.S. = R.H.S. of the equation. Hence, the third option is correct.
