Correct Answer: 8 ÷ 6 × 9 + 7 – 4 = 12
Solution : Given: 7 and 4
Replace the given numbers in the options one by one with the original numbers in the given equation. First option: 8 ÷ 6 × 9 + 7 – 4 = 12 ⇒ 8 ÷ 6 × 9 + 4 – 7 = 12 + 4 – 7 = 9 ≠ 12 Second option: 7 × 8 + 4 – 6 ÷ 3 = 37 ⇒ 4 × 8 + 7 – 6 ÷ 3 = 32 + 7 – 2 = 37 Third option: 9 – 4 × 3 + 6 × 7 ÷ 1 = 12 ⇒ 9 – 7 × 3 + 6 × 4 ÷ 1 = 9 – 21 + 24 = 12 Fourth option: 4 × 8 – 9 ÷ 3 + 7 = 57 ⇒ 7 × 8 – 9 ÷ 3 + 4 = 56 – 3 + 4 = 57
So, only the first option satisfies the L.H.S. ≠ R.H.S. of the given equation. Hence, the first option is correct.
