Correct Answer: 3 and 78

Solution : Given:
13 + 9 ÷ 78 × 27 – 16 = 3

Replace the given numbers in the options one by one with the original numbers in the given equation.
First option: 3 and 78
⇒ 13 + 9 ÷ 3 × 27 – 16 = 78
= 13 + 81 – 16
= 78 = R.H.S.
Second option: 78 and 27
⇒ 13 + 9 ÷ 27 × 78 – 16 = 3
= 13 + 26 – 16
= 23 ≠ 3
Third option: 13 and 78
⇒ 78 + 9 ÷ 13 × 27 – 16 = 3
= 78 + 18.69 – 16
= 80.69 ≠ 3
Fourth option: 27 and 16
⇒ 13 + 9 ÷ 78 × 16 – 27 = 3
= 13 + 1.85 – 27
= –12.15 ≠ 3

So, only the first option satisfies the R.H.S. of the given equation. Hence, the first option is correct.
