Solution : Given: 14 March 2007 is a Wednesday.
Let's calculate the total number of days from the 14th of March 2007 to the 12th of April 2013 –
Number of days from 14 March 2007 to 31 December 2007 = 17 + 30 + 31 + 30 + 31 + 31 + 30 + 31 + 30 + 31 = 292 Number of days from 1 January 2008 to 31 December 2012 = (5 × 365) + 2 = 1827 (2 leap years) Number of days from 1 January 2013 to 12 April 2013 = 31 + 28 + 31 + 12 = 102 So, the total number of days from 14 March 2007 to 12 April 2013 = 292 + 1827 + 102 = 2221 Now, on dividing 2221 by 7, we get 317 as the quotient and 2 as the remainder.
Therefore, add 2 to Wednesday, Wednesday + 2 = Friday
So, the 12th of April 2013 will be Friday. Hence, the second option is correct.
