Solution : Given: 17 April 1992 is a Friday.
Let's calculate the total number of days from the 17th of April 1992 to the 10th of October 1993 –
Number of days from 17 April 1992 to 31 December 1992 = 13 + 31 + 30 + 31 + 31 + 30 + 31 + 30 + 31 = 258 Number of days from 1 January 1993 to 10 October 1993 = 31 + 28 + 31 + 30 + 31 + 30 + 31 + 31 + 30 + 10 = 283 So, the total number of days from 17 April 1992 to 10 October 1993 = 258 + 283 = 541 Now, on dividing 541 by 7, we get 77 as the quotient and 2 as the remainder.
Therefore, add 2 to Friday, Friday + 2 = Sunday
So, the 10th of October 1993 will be Sunday. Hence, the first option is correct.
