Solution : Given: 2 June 1995 is a Friday.
Let's calculate the total number of days from the 2nd of June 1995 to the 16th of June 1996 –
Number of remaining days in 1995 = 28 + 31 + 31 + 30 + 31 + 30 + 31 = 212 Number of days from 1 January 1996 to 16 June 1996 = 31 + 28 + 31 + 30 + 31 + 16 = 167 So, the total number of days from 2 June 1995 to 16 June 1996 = 212 + 167 = 379 Now, on dividing 379 by 7, we get 54 as the quotient and 1 as the remainder.
Therefore, add 1 to Friday, Friday + 1 = Saturday
So, the 16th of June 1996 will be Saturday. Hence, the second option is correct.
