Correct Answer: Friday

Solution : Given:
8 March 1996 is a Friday.

Let's calculate the total number of days from the 8th of March 1996 to the 7th of April 2006 –

Number of days from 8 March 1996 to 31 December 1996 = 23 + 30 + 31 + 30 + 31 + 31 + 30 + 31 + 30 + 31 = 298
Number of days from 1 January 1997 to 31 December 2005 = (9 × 365) + 2 = 3287 (2 leap year)
Number of days from 1 January 2006 to 7 April 2006 = 31 + 28 + 31 + 7 = 97
So, the total number of days from 8 March 1996 to 7 April 2006 = 298 + 3287 + 97 = 3682
Now, on dividing 3682 by 7, we get 526 as the quotient and 0 as the remainder.

Therefore, add 0 to Friday, Friday + 0 = Friday

So, the 7th of April 2006 will be Friday. Hence, the fourth option is correct.
