Given:
In a fancy party, the number of people = 200.
30% of the guests have dressed as animals = 30% of 200 = 30 ÷ 100 × 200= 60
So, people remaining = 200 – 60 = 140
40% of the remaining guests dressed as birds = 40% of 140 =40 ÷ 100 × 140 = 56
So, people now remaining = 140 – 56 =84
50% of the remaining guests have dressed as clowns = 50% of 84 = 50 ÷ 100 × 84 = 42
And the remaining people who dressed as plants = 84 – 42 = 42
