Solution : Given:
1, 4, 3, 16, 6, 36, 10, 64, 15, 100, ?

In the given series, we have two subseries –
(I) 1, 3, 6, 10, 15, ?
(II) 4, 16, 36, 64, 100
In the first subseries add consecutive natural numbers starting from 2, to get the next number –
1 + 2 = 3; 3 + 3 = 6; 6 + 4 = 10; 10 + 5 = 15; 15 + 6 = 21
The second subseries is the square of consecutive even numbers starting from 2 –
(2 2 )→4; (4 2 )→16; (6 2 )→36; (8 2 )→64; (10 2 )→100

Therefore, the required missing number in the series is 21. Hence, the first option is correct.
