Solution : The error lies in the second part of the sentence.

There is an error in the use of the auxiliary verb with respect to number. The verb ''is'' should be replaced with ''are'' to convey the intended meaning that deserts are places where extreme conditions constantly test the limits of life. The plural subject should be followed by the plural verb form to comply with the subject-verb agreement.

Therefore, the correct sentence should be: "Earth's deserts are a land of extremes, constantly pushing life to the limit."
