Solution : Given:
+ means division; – means multiplication; ÷ means addition and × means subtraction.
36 × 12 + 4 ÷ 6 + 2 – 3 = ?

After replacing the signs the equation becomes –
= 36 – 12 ÷ 4 + 6 ÷ 2 × 3
= 36 – 3 + 3 × 3
= 36 – 3 + 9
= 45 – 3
= 42

So, 42 is the answer to the given equation. Hence, the first option is correct.
