(I) J, K, L, M, and N are sitting on a bench facing towards north.
North facing row; Left End; _, _, _, _, _; Right end
(II) J is an immediate neighbour of K. L is an immediate neighbour of N. J is not sitting with M who sits on the right end of the bench. J sits to the right of L and N. L sits to the right of N.

Therefore, L sits second from the left. Hence, the second option is correct.
