Question : Directions: Param drives 8 km north from point A. He takes a right turn and drives 8 km. Again he takes a right turn and drives 4 km. Finally, he takes a right turn and drives 8 km to reach point B. How far and towards which direction should he drive to reach point A again?

Correct Answer: 4 km towards south


Solution : Firstly, we will draw the diagram as per the given instructions –


Now, we have to find the distance between A and B and towards which direction should he drive to reach point A again.


The distance between A and B = AC – BC
AB = 8 – 4
AB = 4 km

So, the distance between A and B is 4km, and in the south direction should drive to reach point A again. Hence, the second option is correct.
