Solution : According to the instructions given, the diagram is as follows –
Here, A is the starting point and F is the finishing point and AF is the total distance from the starting point.
AB = 2 km; BC = 6 km; CD = BE = 2km; DF = 12 km; DE = EF = 6 km
And, AE = AB + BE = 2 + 2 = 4 km
