Statements:
(I) All tulips are lilies.
(II) All orchids are lilies.
(III) No lily is a rose.
Conclusions:
(I) Some tulips are orchids.
(II) No orchid is a rose.

Option 1: Only conclusion II follows

Option 3: Neither conclusion I nor II follows

Solution : The possible Venn diagram according to the statements given in the question is –

Let's check each conclusion –
Conclusion (I): Some tulips are orchids – According to the Venn diagram, there is no definite relation between tulips and orchids. So, this conclusion is false.
Conclusion (II): No orchid is a rose – According to the Venn diagram, no lilies are roses and an orchid is part of the lilies. So, this conclusion is true.

So, only conclusion II follows. Hence the first option is correct.
