Question : Directions: Select the option in which the numbers share the same relationship in the set as that shared by the numbers in the given set. (NOTE: Operations should be performed on the whole numbers, without breaking down the numbers into their constituent digits. E.g.13 –operations on 13 such as adding/subtracting /multiplying etc. to 13 can be performed. Breaking down 13 into 1 and 3 and then performing mathematical operations on 1 and 3 is not allowed.)

Correct Answer: (12, 10, 60)

Solution : Given:
(10, 20,100); (50, 5,125)

Multiply the first and second numbers and divide the resultant by 2, to get the third number –
⇒ (10, 20,100)→(10 × 20) ÷ 2 = 100
⇒ (50, 5, 125)→(50 × 5) ÷ 2 = 125
Let's check each option –

First option: (20, 5, 60)→ (20 × 5) ÷ 2 = 50 ≠ 60
Second option: (40, 4, 150)→(40 × 4) ÷ 2 = 80 ≠ 150
Third option: (14, 10, 35)→(14 × 10) ÷ 2 = 70 ≠ 35
Fourth option: (12, 10, 60)→(12 × 10) ÷ 2 = 60

So, only the fourth option follows the same pattern as the given set of numbers. Hence, the fourth option is correct.
