Correct Answer: Plant 4
Solution : Average production of a plant = $\frac{\text{Total production of the plant}}{\text{Total number of years}}$ Average production of Plant 1 = $\frac{35+43+48+32+42}{5}=40$ Average production of Plant 2 = $\frac{25+44+39+40+44}{5}= 38.4$ Average production of Plant 3 = $\frac{40+44+36+35+30}{5}= 37$ Average production of Plant 4 = $\frac{45+40+30+48+42}{5}= 41$ So, Plant 4 has the highest average production. Hence, the correct answer is Plant 4.
