Solution : Given:
The ratio of the present ages of Aman and Ankit is 2 : 1.

Let Aman's present age be 2y and Ankit's present age be y.
The sum of their present ages is 72 years.
⇒ 2y + y = 72
⇒ 3y = 72
⇒ y = 24
Aman's present age = 2 × 24 = 48 years
Aman's age after 6 years = 48 + 6 = 54 years.

Hence, the fourth option is correct.
