Question : Directions: Three statements are given followed by three conclusions numbered I, II and III. Assuming the statements to be true, even if they seem to be at variance with commonly known facts, decide which of the conclusions logically follow(s) from the statements.
Statements:
All fruits are wines.
Some wines are juices.
All juices are alcohol.
Conclusions:
I. Some alcohols are juices.
II. Some wines are alcohols.
III. Some wines are fruits.

Solution : The possible Venn diagram according to statements given in the question is –

Conclusions I: Some alcohols are juices – From the diagram, it is clear that some part of the circle representing alcohol lies outside the circle representing juices. So it can be concluded that some alcohols are juices.
Conclusions II: Some wines are alcohol – From the diagram, it is clear that some parts of the circle representing wines overlap with the circle representing alcohol and have some common area between them. So, it can be concluded that some wines are alcohol​​​​.
Conclusions III: Some wines are fruits – From the diagram, it is clear that some part of the circle representing wines lies outside the circle representing fruits. So, it can be concluded that some wines are fruits.

So, all conclusions follow. Hence, the second option is correct
