Solution : Given: 5 – 9 × 8 ÷ 12 + 4 = ?
After interchanging + and ÷, and × and –, the equation will be as follows – = 5 × 9 – 8 + 12 ÷ 4 = 5 × 9 – 8 + 3 = 45 – 8 + 3 = 48 – 8 = 40
So, 40 is the required answer to the given equation. Hence, the third option is correct.
