Correct Answer: + and –

Solution : Given:
42 ÷ 7 – 64 + 11 × 6 = 4

Let's check each option –
First option: ÷ and –
42 – 7 ÷ 64 + 11 × 6 = 4
42 – 0.10 + 66
107.7 ≠ 4
Second option: x and +

42 ÷ 7 – 64 × 11 + 6 = 4
6 – 704 + 6
–692 ≠ 4
Third option: x and

42 ÷ 7 × 64 + 11 – 6 = 4
6 × 64 + 11 – 6
389 ≠ 4
Fourth option: + and

42 ÷ 7 + 64 – 11 × 6 = 4
6 + 64 – 66 = 4
4 = 4 (L.H.S. = R.H.S.)

So, only the fourth option satisfies the R.H.S. of the equation. Hence, the fourth option is correct.
