Correct Answer: ÷ and −

Solution : Given:
87 − 3 + 39 ÷ 67 × 3 = −133

Interchange the given symbols in the options one by one with the original symbols in the given equation.
First option: ÷ and −
Solving the L.H.S. of the equation –
= 87 ÷ 3 + 39 − 67 × 3
= 29 + 39 − 201
= −133 = R.H.S.
Second option: × and +
Solving the L.H.S. of the equation –
= 87 − 3 × 39 ÷ 67 + 3
= 87 − 1.74 + 3
= 88.25 ≠ −133
Third option: × and −
Solving the L.H.S. of the equation –
= 87 × 3 + 39 ÷ 67 − 3
= 261 + 0.58 − 3
= 258.58 ≠ −133
Fourth option: − and +
Solving the L.H.S. of the equation –
= 87 + 3 − 39 ÷ 67 × 3
= 90 − 1.74
= 88.25 ≠ −133

So, only the first option satisfies the R.H.S. of the given equation. Hence, the first option is correct.
