Correct Answer: ÷ and +

Solution : Given:
72 ÷ 4 × 64 + 8 – 24 = 80

Replace the given symbols in the options one by one with the original symbols in the given equation.
First option: ÷ and ×
= 72 × 4 ÷ 64 + 8 – 24
= 72 × 0.0625 + 8 – 24
= 4.5 + 8 – 24
= –11.5 ≠ 80
Second option: – and +
= 72 ÷ 4 × 64 – 8 + 24
= 18 × 64 – 8 + 24
= 1152 – 8 + 24
= 1168 ≠ 80
Third option: ÷ and +
= 72 + 4 × 64 ÷ 8 – 24
= 72 + 4 × 8 – 24
= 72 + 32 – 24
= 80 = R.H.S.
Fourth option: – and ×
= 72 ÷ 4 – 64 + 8 × 24
= 18 – 64 + 8 × 24
= 18 – 64 + 192
= 146 ≠ 80

So, only the third option satisfies the R.H.S. of the given equation. Hence, the third option is correct.
