Correct Answer: 5 and 2

Solution : Given:
7 – 5 + 4 × 2 = 25

Replace the given numbers according to the options one by one with the original numbers in the given equation.
First option: 4 and 2
⇒ 7 – 5 + 2 × 4 = 25
= 7 – 5 + 8
= 2 + 8
= 10 ≠ 25
Second option: 7 and 5
⇒ 5 – 7 + 4 × 2 = 25
= 5 – 7 + 8
= – 2 + 8
= 6 ≠ 25
Third option: 25 and 7
⇒ 25 – 5 + 4 × 2 = 7
= 25 – 5 + 8 = 7
= 20 + 8
= 28 ≠ 7
Fourth option: 5 and 2
⇒ 7 – 2 + 4 × 5 = 25
= 7 – 2 + 20
= 5 + 20
= 25 = R.H.S.

So, only the fourth option satisfies the R.H.S. of the given equation. Hence, the fourth option is correct.
