Correct Answer: + and ÷

Solution : Given:
38 ÷ 19 × 11 – 357 + 17 = 226

Replace the given symbols in the options one by one with the original symbols in the given equation.
First option: – and ÷
= 38 – 19 × 11 ÷ 357 + 17
= 38 – 0.58 + 17
= 54.42 ≠ 226
Second option: + and ÷
= 38 + 19 × 11 – 357 ÷ 17
= 38 + 209 – 21
= 226
Third option: × and +
= 38 ÷ 19 + 11 – 357 × 17
= 2 + 11 – 6069
= – 6056 ≠ 226
Fourth option : × and –
= 38 ÷ 19 – 11 ×  357 + 17
= 2 – 3927 + 17
= 3908 ≠ 226

Here, only the second option satisfies the R.H.S. of the given equation. Hence, the second option is correct.
