Correct Answer: ÷ and +

Solution : Given:
22 – 16 ÷ (3 × 4) + 6 = 8

Replace the given symbols in the options one by one with the original symbols in the given equation.
First option: ÷ and +
= 22 – 16 + (3 × 4) ÷  6
= 6 + 12 ÷  6
= 8
Second option: – and ×
= 22 × 16 ÷ (3 – 4) + 6
= –352 + 6
= –346 ≠ 8
Third option: – and +
= 22 + 16 ÷ (3 × 4) – 6
= 22 + 16 ÷ 12 – 6
= 22 + 1.34 – 6
= 17.34 ≠ 8
Fourth option: ÷ and ×
= 22 – 16 × (3 ÷ 4) + 6
= 22 – 16 × 0.75 + 6
= 22 – 12 + 6
= 16 ≠ 8

Here, only the first option satisfies the R.H.S. of the given equation. Hence, the first option is correct
