Correct Answer: – and +

Solution : Given:
44 ÷ 11 + 7 × 3 – 19 = 2

Let's check the given options –
First option: + and ÷
On interchanging the mathematical signs, we get –
44 + 11 ÷ 7 × 3 – 19 = 2
L.H.S. = 44 + 11 ÷ 7 × 3 – 19
= 44 + 4.71 – 19
= 29.71 ≠ 2
Second option: – and +
On interchanging the mathematical signs, we get –
44 ÷ 11 – 7 × 3 + 19 = 2
L.H.S. = 44 ÷ 11 – 7 × 3 + 19
= 4 – 7 × 3 + 19
= 4 – 21 + 19
= 2 = R.H.S.
Third option: = and ÷
On interchanging the mathematical signs, we get –
44 = 11 + 7 × 3 – 19 ÷ 2
R.H.S. = 11 + 7 × 3 – 19 ÷ 2
= 11 + 7 × 3 – 9.5
= 11 + 21 – 9.5
= 44 ≠ 22.5
Fourth option: – and =
On interchanging the mathematical signs, we get –
44 ÷ 11 + 7 × 3 = 19 – 2
L.H.S. = 44 ÷ 11 + 7 × 3
= 4 + 7 × 3
= 4 + 21 = 25
R.H.S. = 19 – 2
= 17
= 25 ≠ 17

So, only the second option satisfies the R.H.S. of the equation. Hence, the second option is correct.
