Hello,

The loss of trees and other vegetation can cause climate change, desertification, soil erosion, fewer crops, flooding, increased greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, and a host of problems for indigenous people.

Loss of nutrients in the soil that are derived from breakdown of tree leaves. Increased soil erosion by wind and rain.

Thank you.

Hello hello !

I hope you are fine. As per your query , deforestation means the loss of wild forest habitats due to human activity , has grown into a global problem as demand for wood climbs. The mains consequences of deforestation are :

  1. Soil erosion - When humans removes large forests, soil erosion can become a significant problem. In some of the areas, eroding soil can lead to calamitous mudslides. Large amounts of soil are wash into local streams and rivers, causing damage to hydroelectric structures and irrigation infrastructure.
  2. Water cycle disruption - It is the process by which all water on earth is distributed. When huge quantities of trees are cut down, the water they usually extract, store and This means that cleared forests, which once had moist, fertile soil and plenty of rain become barren and dry into the atmosphere is no longer present.Such dry conditions can lead to an increased risk of fire on dry land and great loss of life for the plants and animals that once lived in the forest.

I hope this will be helpful for you.

Good luck !!

Hello ,

There are many consequences of deforestation  ( that is cutting of forest trees ).

Some of them are listed below :

  • Trees hold the topmost layer of the soil and reduces soil erosion , which in turn degrades soil quality.
  • Forest area is also home to many plants and animals and deforestation directly affects them
  • Forest trees are the major source of oxyegn which is very important for life and cutting of trees reduces oxygen content in atmosphere .

and many other reasons like increase in global warming , affect on the lives of local people etc .

Hope this helps.
