Hello

Caste can take various forms in politics

1.when political parties choose candidates in election ,they keep in mind the caste composion of the electorate and nominate candidates from different caste to muster necessary support .They take care that representatives of diff castes and tribes find a place.

2.Candidates make appeals to caste sentiment to muster support.some political parties are known to favour some caste and are seen as their representatives.

3.universal adult franchise and law of one person one vote compelled leaders to gear up to the task to mobilisation and securing political support.it has also brought new consciousness among people of castes that were hitherto treated as infirior and low

Hope it helps.
