India is a huge country with various types of landforms. From the costal regions to the Deccan plateau or the northern plains there are a variety of minerals found in the country due to you different soil types and altitude. So following below is the list of some minerals found in India:

Good afternoon ,

See, there are various types of minerals some of them are unnamed also. Minerals are distributed in various categories like it's types , it's classification and so on. Here , i will mention it's types. There are two types of minerals. First is metallic minerals and second one is non metallic minerals. Metallic minerals are further classified into ferrous and non ferrous minerals. Now ,

  • Metallic minerals : The minerals that contain metals in their chemical composition and posses a metallic lustre in their physical composition are known as metallic minerals. Some of the examples of metallic minerals are bauxite, magnetite , iron ore , and so on are the examples of metallic minerals.
  • Non metallic minerals : The minerals that donot contain metals in their chemical composition and donot have lustrous property in their physical composition are known as non metallic minerals. Some of the examples of non metallic minerals are gypsum , limestone , mica and so on .

Hello there

In India there are various minerals found which are used for the satisfaction of domestic need and also used for foreign exchange as well. There are around roughly 100 minerals which country produces and works upon them and also which are very important for the whole Nation.

The most abundant mineral found in India is coal and the availability of this mineral in India is around 196892 million tons which is mostly found in the parts of Madhya Pradesh Maharashtra Asam Bihar and some more other states.

Another very important mineral is bauxite Ore from which we get aluminium and it's basically found in the parts of Odisha Andhra Pradesh Chhattisgarh Gujarat and some other states also.

We have also copper which is very useful as we all know and is mostly located in singhbhum district which is in Jharkhand and the district of Balaghat of Madhya Pradesh and also in the some districts of Alwar which is in Rajasthan.
