Chytridiomycota are mostly aquatic but some live on land. They can be parasitic as well as saprophytic. They reproduce sexually as well as asexually and forms zoospores. They are generally unicellular with chitinous cell wall.

Ascomycota also known as sac fungi. They are filamentous in nature and produce hyphae. They reproduce asexually which produces conidiospores. They have male strain as antheridium and female strain archegonium.
