Distinguish between D.pharmacy & Pharma D

D.pharm. & Pharm.D. both are completely different.
D. Pharm means Diploma in Pharmacy. It is a two years Diploma course that can be studied after 10th standard. After completing D. Pharm students can persue higher education by taking B.Pharm or Pharm.D.
On the other hand Pharm.D. is Doctor of Pharmacy. It is is an integrated 6 years Professional Pharmacy doctoral program. Candidates can apply in the this program after completing class 12 in science stream. This program was introduced by the Government of India and Pharmacy Council of India in 2008. Students enrolled for the course are required to complete five years of classroom and hospital based didactic study program, followed by one year of internship training in hospitals along with ongoing practical and research projects.

There are some differences like Pharma.D degree is an approved and registrable qualification to be registered as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act of 1948.
Whereas D. Pharma is a Diploma in Pharmacy is a two years Diploma course after 10 th class. The duration of the course is two (2) academic years, with each academic year spread over no less than one hundred and eighty working days and also about 500 hours of practical training spread over not less than 3 months is mandatory to complete the course.D.Pharma holder can further upgrade by studying B.Pharma or Pharma.D
