Greetings!

This year (2020), VIT cancelled their exam VITEEE and admission to their B.Tech courses was completely on the basis of 12th board marks.

Now, if we talk about VITEEE in general years , NO your boards marks doesn't matter. The marks and rank of your VITEEE exam will be the only criteria in the counseling but you require a minimum of 60% in 12th board to be eligible for the entrance.

If you secure a rank under 6k , you will possibly (as the numbers changes every year) get computer science branch in VIT Vellore, and you will surely get a seat in any other branch in VIT Vellore.
