Hi,
An Aeronautical engineer is eligible to apply to the ICRB ISRO exam in Mechanical Engineering discipline. So you can appear for the ICRB exam after Btech.
ICRB conducts the written exams for the Mechanical, Electronics and Computer Science disciplines for the post of Scientist/Engineer.
Given below is the eligibility criteria for the ICRB exam.
- Candidates must hold a first-class B.E/B.Tech or equivalent qualifying degree with an aggregate minimum of 65 percent marks or a CGPA of 6.84 on a 10-point scale. ISRO is picky about CGPAs and grades, and it won't accept anything less than the minimum requirements. For the purposes of calculating CGPA, the average of all semesters will be used rather than a single semester.
- Candidates in their last year of a qualifying degree are also allowed to apply, as long as their final degree is available by July 31 and they have a cumulative grade point average of 65 percent or a CGPA of 6.84 on a scale of ten.
- Candidates with a Diploma plus B.E/B.Tech (Lateral Entry) are also eligible if they received a first-class degree with an aggregate minimum of 65 percent marks or a CGPA of 6.84 on a scale of ten.
