Do all IIMs have sectional cutoffs?
Hii,
The Selection procedure varies from One IIM to another IIM. Generally one need to have minimum 90 percentile in each sections and overall 90 percentile to get into IIM's. Yes, Every IIM considers Sectional Score as well as Overall Score. But if you want to get into older IIM's like IIM- A,B,C , you must get percentile above 95.
Hello Ashitha
It varies from institute to institute. Different colleges keep different sectional and overall cutoffs.
For instance IIMA has kept sectional at 70 and overall at 80 for general category admissions
Cutoff generally depends on the number of candidates and how they perform in each of the sections and also on individual IIMs and colleges.
For instance, IIMB has a min 90%ile as cutoff for the QA section. Similarly, IIML has 85%ile as cutoff for all three sections and IIMA has 70%ile cutoff as minimum for all three sections!
IIM Jammu, Nagpur, Amritsar have lesser cutoffs than these
