Do cracking JEE in 1yr require thorough grasp of 11th concepts or only the 12th course perfection is enough?

Yes,but upto a limit.

In JEE,there is 45-50% weightage to 11th topics.

So,scoring a good rank requires knowledge of these topicd.

But to just clear cutoff of JEE,It can be done by 12th topics.
