Do cutoff of NITs go high every year ? If yes then what are the factors that it may depend on ????

Hi,

The cutoff of NITs depends on following factors:

1. No. of Seats in the Institutes.

2. No. of students appearing : if from a particular category more no. of students are appearing then it will increase the cutoff for that category.

3. Popularity of Institute : NITs like NIT Surathkal have Higher cutoff because they are most preferred NITs.

4. Home State - NITs like NIT Meghalaya has Lower cutoff for Meghalaya students because relatively less number of students applies for it form Meghalaya.
