Do general category candidates need to show some extra documents (like general category certificate, etc). while filling the application form of jee mains or they just have to show 10th and 12th marksheet..?

With refernce to your above mentioned query, I would lie to tell you that as being a GENERAL Category Students, you don't require any caste certificate as your caste ins GENERAL. You won't be getting any kind of reservation, so they won't ask you that.
Some of the essential documents required at time of filling application form of JEE mains by GENEral category students are :
- Qualification Details (such as Class 10 th Roll Number/ Intermediate or Class 12 th Details - Stream, Course etc)
- Scanned Copy of Passport Size Photograph.
- Scanned Copy of Signature.
- A valid e-mail Id.
- A valid mobile number.

Caste Certificate is required for those candidates who are having reservation like SC/ ST/ PwD/ OBC NCL/ EWS etc.
As a General Category candidate you don't have to submit any Caste Category to show them that you belong to General Category. It's because you won't get any benefit of being a General Category candidate, so they won't be asking you for uploading your Caste Certificate.
