Hi

Film Making course is a crucial specialisation under the array of mass communication. The course teaches students how to analyse and interpret cinematic art from diverse perspectives. During the filmmaking course, students develop skills in critical thinking, technical analysis, research and expression, as well as an assessment of the merit of films. See documentary is a type of film, but with different requirements. The basic factors of filmmaking like script, camera, aesthetics etc are all required for making a documentary as well, but they differ in terms of technicalities. In short, the word Films, includes short films, telefilms, series, and Documentary. So if you wish to become a Documentary Director in future you have to study filmmaking only. Apparently, the documentary is a form of filmmaking.
