Do in Mp Dte counselling we need to report the college alloted in first round even if we want to go for upgrade ?

You should report to the college which is allotted to you in the first round of counselling. The you can register/ apply for the second round in order to get up grades to your college of choice and preference. In this way even if you dont get upgraded, you will still have your 1st seat as backup.
